The Cardinals upset the Brewers in six games while the Rangers defeated the Tigers in six games of the respective League Championship Series. They will play each other in the World Series. This is the second straight year the Rangers are playing in the Fall Classic. This is the Cardinals' third World Series appearance since 2004. They won the World Series over the Tigers in five games in 2006.
The Cardinals had a huge rally to overcome the Braves for the Wild Card spot. Nobody thought they would be in the playoffs at the beginning of September and here they are in the World Series. The Cardinals have home-field advantage since the National League won the All-Star game this year.
Both teams have dangerous lineups. The Cardinals soon to be free-agent Albert Puljos is on a tear. Both pitching staffs are pretty good but I give the overall rotation edge to the Cardinals.
I predict that the Cardinals are going to win the World Series in seven games over the Rangers.
